Order for new SBQ mill from Jatim Taman Steel

Jatim Taman Steel has placed an order with JP Steel Plantech Co for a new SBQ mill to produce special round bar and flat bar.

Jatim Taman Steel is an Indonesian mini mill belonging to the Indoprima Group, which supplies springs for automobiles, in which Mitsubishi Steel Manufacturing has taken a stake. The new SBQ mill is planned to start producing special steel round bar for the growing automobile industry in Indonesia as well as surrounding countries in addition to special steel flat bar to one of its group companies as material for springs. JP Steel Plantech Co will provide the entire mill line from the reheating furnace to finishing facilities. The mill will feature a shifting reversing mill that keeps the pass line constant and tandem housingless stands to achieve non-twist rolling.
