Chu Kong Steel Pipe wins new steel pipe orders

Chu Kong Petroleum and Natural Gas Steel Pipe Holdings (Chu Kong Steel Pipe), the manufacturer and exporter of large longitudinal welded steel pipes in China, secured four new sales contracts for 82,000t of steel pipe recently.
 
The group’s recent sales contracts with independent third parties for supplying of an aggregate of approximately 82,000 tonnes of the steel pipes, have a total contract value worth approximately EUR 56.95M. The Contracts are expected to be delivered in 2014, including longitudinal submerged arc welded steel pipe (LSAW) for the project in South America; LSAW for the gas transmission in the Central Asia Gas Project; LSAW for the gas transmission in the East China Huangyan Offshore Gas Project; and LSAW and spiral submerged arc welded steel pipe (SSAW) for the use of construction materials in Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge Project.
 

Chen Chang, chairman of the group, comments, “The contracts provide a solid proof that our products can be applied in different areas, and solidify the group’s advanced position in providing high-end steel pipe products for natural gas industry and Offshore Engineering Equipment Industry. Our R&D team will continue inventing new high-end products to support our state’s energy resources and exploration development with our product diversification strategy.”
