Changan, Baosteel inaugurate joint laboratory

Changan-Baosteel Automotive Steel Joint Laboratory was inaugurated in Chong Qing this November. Xu Lejiang, the chairman of Baosteel Group Corporation, and Xu Liuping, the general manager of China South Industries Group Corporation, jointly inaugurated the laboratory. Wang Jing, deputy general manager of Baosteel, Zhang Baolin, general manager of Changan Automobile, Cui Yunjiang and Liu Bo, deputy general managers of Changan Automobile, attended the opening ceremony.

 Baosteel has a long-term and stable strategic cooperative relationship with Changan Automobile. Based on the close cooperation, the two companies finally decided to establish the automotive steel joint laboratory, to continue to expand the scope and field of EVI cooperation in respect of green manufacturing, safety, environmental protection and cost optimisation to push technical improvements and market competitiveness of both companies.

Before the opening ceremony, Xu Lejiang visited Yubei Plant and Automotive Research Institute of Changan Automobile, and watched the automobile collision test. At the opening ceremony, Xu Liuping said that automobile is the core industry of China South Industries Group Corporation, Changan Automobile and its joint venture enterprises has got a rapid development and its R&D ability has strengthened constantly, all these achievements also benefited from the support of Baosteel as a supplier who has powerful strength.
