Structal-Bridges, a division of Canam Group, has been awarded five contracts totalling close to USD 33M for the rehabilitation or replacement of highway infrastructures in Canada and the United States.
Structal-Bridges will fabricate 1,300 tons of steel components for the rehabilitation of the Highway 21 southbound viaduct and two access ramps in Newark, New Jersey. It will aslso supply 3,100 tons of components for the rehabilitation of the Pulaski Skyway, a 3.5 mile bridge that connects Jersey City, Kearny and Newark.
Structal-Bridges will supply over 760 tons of components that will be used in one of several reconstruction phases planned for the Turcot Interchange in Montreal, Quebec. Structal-Bridges will also supply Goodco Z-Tech structural bearings and expansion joints for this project.
The division also landed a contract to fabricate 2,300 tons of steel components for the construction of a temporary bypass bridge that is included in the project to replace the Nuns’ Island Bridge, Montreal’s gateway to the Champlain Bridge.
Structal-Bridges will fabricate 2,000 tons of steel components for the first cable-stayed bridge ever built in the province of Ontario, the Nipigon River Bridge.
