Damstahl GmbH ‘s new fittings centre

Damstahl GmbH is expanding its warehouse capacity in the field of fittings and flanges with a new fittings centre. After the last expansion in 2008 with a fully-automatic short lengths centre, this is the company’s next major milestone, whereby it continues to invest in product range and service. Right next to the central warehouse facility in Langenfeld / Rheinland, Germany, the 3,500-square-meter hall will be opened at the end of the year.

The new fully automatic high rack warehouse has over 3,200 storing positions for lattice boxes and euro-pallets which can be separable up to 6 times. Thus, more than 19,000 storage locations for small items are available. “Through this investment, we have more space and are even faster in stockpiling and picking,” Mr Thomas Cramer, Head of Sales Damstahl GmbH Germany, says.

This statement is proven by five picking stations, where the processing of orders will be done without paper by terminal dialogs. In addition, a canopied truck drive-in ensures that even in rain, snow and ice, the complete material handling takes place entirely in a dry area.
