Deepwater Equus FEED

Hess Exploration Australia has contracted Wood Group Kenny to provide the subsea/pipelines FEED (front-end engineering and design) for the Equus deepwater gas development off Western Australia. Equus comprises several natural gas and condensate gas fields 180km north of North West Cape, and around 300km west of Karratha in the northern Carnarvon basin, in water depths up to 1200m.
Under the USD 8.1 million contract, Wood Group Kenny will perform the subsea, umbilical and flowlines FEED. The work scope includes flow assurance, subsea engineering, flowlines, export pipeline and tie-ins design, material selection, and integrity management. Wood Group Kenny will execute the 12-month program from a dedicated project engineering office in Perth.
