Electralloy to increase prices

Electralloy will increase their prices on stainless grades and specialty and nickel alloy mill products. Mill products include the forms of all remelted products, in addition to billet, master alloy, and specialty nickel bar. The cost of selected air melted and all remelted stainless grades will increase by approximately 3-5%. These increases will come into effect 1 April 2011 on new order placements for the company’s FIRM Focus Bar Program and 1 June 2011 on shipments for the FLEX Focus Bar Program. No adjustments have been made to the company’s surcharge formula; Electralloy will continue to apply raw material surcharges on all stainless bar products. The Electralloy surcharge formula does not include a nickel premium or an energy, columbium, manganese or copper surcharge. All other stainless, specialty alloy and nickel alloy mill products will be raised 2-4%, with new order placements effective 1 April 2011. The price adjustments come as a result of non-surcharged raw material costs and manufacturing cost increases.
