Filippo Abba, Foster Wheeler’s project executive for their refinery and petrochemical project in Singapore, has been promoted to Managing Director of Operations for Foster Wheeler Energy Limited, based in Reading, England. Abba will work closely with the CEO of the unit in his new position, assuming his new role upon completion of his current assignment in early 2011. Abba joined the Foster Wheeler Italiana team in 1991. During his career he has maintained a variety of positions including Director of Engineering in 2003, Director of Projects and Projects Management Department Head in 2005, and Director of Contract Operations for Foster Wheeler Asia Pacific in 2008. Abba holds a doctorate degree in mechanical engineering from Politecnico di Milano in Italy.
