Matou works to resume stainless steel operations

Taiwan-based Chien Shing Stainless Steel Co. (CSSSC) will resume operation in the week of 23 August 2010 because of the strong demand requests from their existing customers. CSSSC halted stainless steel rolling at its Matou works in July 2010 due to slow demand. The company has talked with Walsin Lihwa to prepare 2000tns of raw materials for first phase production needs. However, there are many things that Chien Shing needs to settle down before back to their business at normal. Currently, nickel price has continually increased and it could benefit the company at this moment.
