The J. Ray MoDermott annual Charity Golf Tournament at the new venue of the ELS Golf Club, Sport City, Dubai, was held on Thursday, 25 March 2010. Since Its inception this event has been held principally to raise money for local charities in Dubai. At the 2009 tournament J, Ray MoDermott raised an overwhelming amount of money for four charities: Dubai Center for Special Needs, Dubai Autism Center, Mowgli Foundation and Breast Cancer Research thanks to the generous support and sponsorship of our valued customers, vendors, sub-contractors, employees and friends. This year’s program of events included, “Calun Shrimp Boil” on Wednesday 24th March 2010. The evening function from 18:30hrs included a seafood buffet of shrimps and an open bar. Thursday 25th March 2010 – Golf Tournament which included a Texas Scrarrible golf game, shotgun tee-off with food served on course; open bar; and dinner buffet, prize presentation, silent auction, grand raffle prize draw.
