China: ethylene project in Shaanxi

Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum (Group) Co. Ltd (SYPC) (Yan’an, Shaanxi) is planning to cooperate with China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) (Beijing) in the construction of a 1 million-metric-ton ethylene project with a total expected investment of USD 3.36 billion. The project will be built in Yan’an City in NW China’s Shaanxi province. CNPC has signed the cooperation agreement with the government of Shaanxi province. Presently, the parties have jointly submitted the project application report to the National Reform and Development Commission and started the prefeasibility study report as well as other pre-stage preparations.
