ProEnergy EPC Services (ProEnergy EPC) has secured an engineering, procurement and construction contract worth nearly USD 100 million for two natural gas-fired power plants in Pakistan. Engineering work on the projects will be subcontracted to EDG Engineers located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Several parts for the power stations will be produced in Tulsa. Iqbal Z. Ahmed, chairman of Associated Group, Pakistani energy firm, stated that the two plants will together produce 160MW of electricity. David Walters, president of Walters Power International, stated that extra power stations are in different phases of discussion and development and are likely to augment the amount of awarded contracts to nearly USD 500 million and push the power output to about 750MW. Pakistan Power Resources LLC (Pakistan Power Resources), a limited liability corporation based in Oklahoma, is the developer and owner of the power plant projects.
