Sanmac stainless grades improved

Sandvik’s range of Sanmac stainless steel grades have been further improved through an ongoing product development programme designed to increase productivity for customers in the machining industry. Sanmac materials allows users the ability to increase cutting speeds and feed rates while at the same time reducing tool wear due to the co-operation between Sandvik Materials Technology, the material producer and Sandvik Coromant, the tooling company. Sanmac is suitable for milling, turning, tapping, thread cutting, drilling, sawing, etc. Available in diameters from 20mm up to 450smm and in a range of Sanmac material grades including Sanmac 316L, Sanmac 4571, Sanmac 4435, Sanmac SAF 2205, Sandvik SAF 2507 and Sandvik Sanicro 28, the material is offered in length from 3.5m up to 7m. To ensure the material is supplied in the most suitable form Sandvik operates a dedicated cut-to-length service and can supply its stainless steel solid bar in the most appropriate lengths to best accommodate customers’ requirements. A full range of associated services, such as marking, full test certification and documentation, is also offered by Sandvik.
