Metso has announced that it has set up a new office and company in SE Asia. The company titled Metso Vietnam Co. Ltd will reside in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Metso’s all three segments, Paper and Fiber Technology, Energy and Environment Technology and Mining and Construction Technology, will share the office. In the beginning, the office will employ one person, Mr Phuoc Mac Cam, Sales and Administration assistant. The target of the new office is to strengthen Metso’s presence in SE Asia and Vietnam. The annual paper and board consumption in Vietnam is about 1.5 million tonnes and the population around 90 million.
