United Stainless Steel Co. (USCO), based in Bahrain, has dispatched steel from its new 90,000tn/yr capacity cold reduction mill at Hidd for the first time. USCO, which is the first cold rolled stainless steel producer in the Middle East, dispatched an order worth USD 115,000 to Saudi Arabia-based Armetal, a stainless steel tube manufacturer and fabricator based in Riyadh. This order left the plant as stainless steel prices remain high on the back of elevated nickel prices.
