China’s SS exports up 137%

Stainless steel exports from China reached 852,000tns in 2006, up by 137% compared to 2005. The EU accounted for the largest increase of China’s total stainless steel exports. The figure was 244,538tns in 2006, rose almost 14 times more than the 16,528tns in 2005. Germany and Italy both made up respectively at 82,970tns and 76,613tns, rose greatly too. As for the exported items, stainless CRC was the largest product, rose more than 2.5 times to 460,704tns. Hot rolled coil product was 168,383tns, tube product was 157,807tns and long products was 64,097tns.
