Germany: carbon-free coal power plant

RWE plans to invest EUR 1 billion in a new coal-fired power plant that will not emit carbon dioxide. The company aims to have the 400-450MW plant ready in 2014. The total investment includes the power plant and the transport and storage of carbon dioxide (CO2), a greenhouse gas linked by scientists to global warming.
