New all-stainless mixers

Chemineer has developed a new range of all-stainless steel mixers, which are suitable in sterile environments. The new SSP (Stainless Steel Portable) is suitable for open tank applications, for which Chemineer offer a number of mounting options, including angle risers or flat-plate mounts. For closed tanks, Chemineer has also introduced the SSMC mixer (Stainless Steel Mechanical Cartridge), which can be mounted using tri-clover flanges, ANSI-rated flanges or DIN flanges as standard. All drives incorporate a fully-sealed wash-down motor, with the closed-tank application SSNC mixer benefiting from PTFE gasket seals on all joints. The seal housing on both mixers is specially designed with curved surfaces and no crevices, so that, for example, water from steam-cleaning runs off very easily. The shaft mechanical seals are selected to suit the process and can be dry-running or fully lubricated. On the mechanical seal there are options for a steam purge or particle catcher to prevent ingress to the tank products.
