Cable strain relief strap

A cable strain relief strap has now been developed for igus (UK) Energy Chains. To fix cables safely inside an Energy Chain, igus’ engineers in Cologne, Germany, have developed the Chainfix strap. It has a width of about 4mm plus the cable width, and a height of about 30mm, plus the diameter of the cable. An important design feature is the ribbed pressure-counter-and press-trough. The ribs increase the supporting surface of the cables. This causes the cables to clutch the troughs, resulting in a safe strain relief for various cable diameters and materials The stainless steel Chainfix strap, CF 18.1 (for an 18mm cable diameter), attained a strain relief of 1.282N. Chainfix straps are available in steel, black varnished or stainless steel.
