AMEC and Clough win Indonesia contract

AMEC has teamed up with Clough (Australia) to win a multi-million dollar contract from ConocoPhillips to provide operations and maintenance services for the Bayu-Undan development, SE Asia. Over the next three years, with an option to extend a further two years, the AMEC Clough joint venture will service the production facilities at the Bayu-Undan gas and condensate field, located in the Timor Sea. The field is estimated to hold over 400 million barrels of hydrocarbon liquids and 3.4 trillion cubic feet of gas. The facilities comprise a 14,000 tonne drilling, production and processing platform, a 11,500 tonne compression, utilities and quarters platform, a 1400 tonne wellhead platform and a floating storage and offloading vessel. The contract is the latest in a series of oil and gas service-based contracts for both Clough and AMEC in the Asia-Pacific region.
