Tetronics has introduced its new Mini Plasma Tundish Heater (Mini PTH) designed specifically for casters with a casting rate of up to 1.7 tonnes per minute. Plasma provides an intense, clean source of heat at the critical point of casting. In recent years the growing emphasis on increased efficiency and productivity has generated interest in a plasma tundish heater for specialist steels and smaller casters. Tetronics’ Mini PTH has a simplified design consisting of smaller twin torches and lower requirements of power and gas.
