New BSSA director

Nigel Ward, the Group Manager for Market and Trade Political Affairs at Outokumpu Stainless, has been appointed the new Director of the British Stainless Steel Association (BSSA). He will be taking over in September from Duncan Munro. During the last 25 years, Nigel Ward has worked in the stainless industry and has held a number of Senior Management posts in both sales and marketing for Outokumpu Stainless and its predecessors. A chemistry graduate from Leeds University, he originally joined British Steel in 1975 as a Graduate Trainee, working in production. He has been on the ISSF Economics and Statistics Committee, the Euro Inox Marketing Committee, the UK Steel Activities Board and served as a member of the BSSA Council between 2000 and 2003. He is currently a Director of the
Stainless Steel Appeal.
