New mold facility in Luxembourg

Husky Injection Molding Systems has announced plans to build a new PET mold facility on its Luxembourg manufacturing campus. The new facility is scheduled to open in spring 2006. The new plant will be dedicated to mold insert production, assembly and testing. The existing operation will be optimised to focus on hot runners and mold bases, including those for the new PET mold operation. Through fiscal 2006, the company anticipates investing EUR 46 million in the facility and production equipment. Once fully operational, the company expects the move will create approximately 80 full-time positions.
