Jacobs receives Suncor contract

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. reports that a subsidiary company has received a contract from Suncor Energy Inc. to provide engineering and procurement services for the clean fuels project that Suncor is initiating at its refinery in Denver, Colorado. Suncor Energy (USA) Inc. reached an agreement to acquire the facility from ConocoPhillips. Officials did not disclose the value of the contract. Upon acquiring the refinery, Suncor announced its intention to spend approximately USD 175 million to USD 225 million between 2003 and 2006 to meet clean fuels legislation and to integrate Suncor sour crude blends into the refinery’s crude slate.
