New turning machine

To cope with the increase in demand for its fastener products, Stainless Steel Fasteners Ltd (Chesterfield, UK) has invested in a new CNC machine at a cost of GBP 50,000. The British built BSA 3000 turning centre was purchased to compliment the existing range of automatic machines, predominantly for nut production, which the company operates. The new machine replaces several older type machines, which were becoming unreliable and very costly to repair and also taking up much valuable production floor space. It also means that the company is able to turnaround manufactured product quicker. The investment in new technology coincides with a move to bigger premises, able to facilitate the growth and expansion of the company’s production requirements.
Commenting upon the new machine Gordon Staines, Production Director said, “The machine is able to manufacture hexagon nuts ranging from 20mm up to 75mm with the exact precision needed to fulfil the requirements of a specific project.â€?
