A comprehensive range of AC three-phase IEC metric stainless motors is now available from Marlin Stainless. This all-metric-dimensioned range gives the user/OEM complete interchangeability with his existing motor population and/or machine footprint, permitting simple upgrades to a fully stainless design. Manufactured to withstand high-pressure wash-downs (IP66), even when employing chemical cleaning agents, these motors from Marlin are suitable for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and process industries. To overcome the inherent condensation problem associated with electric motors exposed to internal and external temperature differences, the Marlin motors have four quadrant drain ports in each end shield that will accept T-drain plugs on removal of grub screws. They are offered in power ratings from 0.18 to 7.5kW in metric frame sizes up to 132 as TEFC machines. Smaller units (up to 0.75kW) are also available from 63 frame size as Tenv machines. The motors are fully interchangeable with standard IEC motors.
