Parker’s thin-film sensor

Parker Filter Division Europe has announced the introduction of the new “Performerâ€? range of ASIC transducers and transmitters which use the very latest in thin film sensor technology. Developed at the company’s dedicated Condition Monitoring Centre, in Thetford, UK, the new Performer range features robust stainless steel construction and uses simple to install micro electrical connection. They offer high stability, with very low drift throughout six pressure ranges – 0 to 20, 60, 100, 250, 400 and 700 bar – plus a fully compensated temperature range of –40C to 125C. Power supply ranges from 9–35 Vdc for transducers and 11–35 Vdc for transmitters. Typical applications for the new Performer transducers and transmitters include: fork-lift trucks, for braking and load systems; truck-mounted cranes, for load safety systems; earth-moving machinery, for hydraulic gearbox control; racing cars, for gearbox, fuel, cooling and suspension systems; water supply systems, for pressurises systems for both industrial and high-rise usage; forestry machinery, for felling and logging systems; and paper-mills, for speed control and weighing systems.
