European warehouse doubled

TW Metals has announced that its new European sales and warehousing centre in France is now fully operational and doubles the previous storage capacity available. Formerly based in St Nazaire in NW France, the new purpose-built warehouse has been located at a strategic site in Orleans, 125km south of Paris. It is at the hub of the French motorway system providing easy access to key markets. It is ideally placed, for example, to service key aerospace customers in Paris and Toulouse as well as the petrochemical, food and other major process and engineering industries of the Rhone Valley. The investment, approaching GBP 1 million, has resulted in increased storage, capacity, full cutting and processing facilities and enabled increased stocks of TW’s wide range of stainless steel and aluminium products to be held. The new warehouse also incorporates purpose built storage for flat products. There is now extensive stock availability, in particular, of sheet, extrusions, tube and bar for the aerospace industry and tube for the chemical and petrochemical industries.
