Stork has reached agreement with the US company Townsend Engineering for the sale of the Stork Protecon-Langen branch to Townsend. This Stork subsidiary based in Oss, the Netherlands, specialises in machines for the (red) meat processing industry. Townsend Engineering (235 employees), based in Des Moines, Iowa (USA), is a leading manufacturer of meat processing equipment with its European headquarters in Zoetermeer. The company aims to expand its position on the world-wide market. A key role in achieving this aim for the European market as well as for the distribution in the US market will be played by the Stork company in Oss, where approximately 100 employees are currently active in the areas of engineering, production, sales and service.
