Rautaruukki Polska has opened a new works manufacturing steel roofings in the city of Olkusz in southern Poland. It is the second works of Rautaruukki Polska in Poland, where Rautaruukki has also a steel service centre and two associated companies.
The new works will start with the production of profiled roofings and profiled sheets. The production lines will be delivered from Finland. There will also be a works outlet which will sell the whole product range of Rautaruukki Polska.
The objective of the new works is to strengthen the competitive position of Rautaruukki Polska in the southern Poland, where steel roofs have a strong market share. Rautaruukki Polska will also begin the manufacture and sales of the new Classic roof product in Poland, which has succeeded well in the Finnish market.
Rautaruukki Polska started production in Zyrardow, Poland in 1994. The company’s turnover is expected to rise to EUR 20 million this year.
