2nd Inox-Red Metallurgy Conference

The Conference took place at the Acerinox’s Factory in Campo de Gibraltar (Cádiz, Spain) on 26–28 March 2003 and more than 90 people attended it. Among the most significant topics were: foundations in science and technology of the stainless steels; design and properties of new stainless steels; new applications of stainless steels; behaviour in the applications of stainless steels, corrosion, weldability, forming, polishing, etc.; production procedures, transformation and processes improvement, output, etc.; special techniques of characterisation in science and technology of the stainless steels; environmental aspects in the production (saving in raw materials, energy, application of residuals like raw materials or auxiliary) and in the use of the stainless steels (cleanability, recycling, application in pharmaceutical and food industries, etc.).
