EPSRC, Tata Steel form research partnership

Tata Steel formed a strategic partnership with the UK research body, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), to develop a range of innovations including graphene-coated steels and next-generation sensors that can operate in extreme environments. The research will include studying the viability of coating steel strip with graphene, a one-atom thick carbon layer whose properties include anti-corrosion and a high degree of electrical conductivity.... Fabricom wins Nordsee Ost wind farm contract

RWE Innogy has commissioned Dutch company Fabricom Offshore Services to maintain the foundations of the Nordsee Ost offshore wind farm over the next four years. The contract includes the inspection and maintenance of the 49 jacket foundations of the wind turbines and the transformer substation, together with the monopile foundations of the measurement mast.... BlackPearl contracts Propak for Onion Lake project

11 April 2014

BlackPearl Resources entered into a lump-sum contract with Propak Systems for the engineering, procurement and fabrication of the central processing facilities for its Onion Lake thermal project. Propak has successfully constructed and installed processing facilities for three similar thermal projects in Saskatchewan, which are currently producing over 20,000 barrels of oil per day.
The first phase of the Onion Lake thermal project will have a design capacity for production of 6,000 barrels of oil per day.... Read more...
